Crow Sanctuary.......... by

Just a bit of an experiment today…. still coming to grips with the whole photoshop/layers thing!

Step 1. Take boring photo of crows…..
Step 2. Try to make it more interesting…..

Hmmmmmmm…. did it work?!

Just trying out layers, textures, different blending options and adding elements that were not in the original…… Adds up to a bit of fun!!!

PS… I really do like crows though!

Love the crow with his wings down Jen! Almost looks like a bat! :)
Youve done a great job with the layering and I love the textures……….like a really old photo from the attic! :)

  • Now that’s a compliment coming from you!!! The main thing today was trying to take something from one image and insert it into another image and make it look like it should be there… To date I’ve been hopeless at it!!! So today I thought I should make a big effort and make it happen… LOL! After all… if I don’t ever learn to do these things then how am I ever going to be as good as Tracey Mac…….. !!! : ))) xx

very evocative photo- diversity of body positions adds character- seems like a meeting- the one by the rock somewhat annoyed at everyone being late- great photo-

  • Ha! Thanks Fred… love your narrative! To me they seem to be a family… I watched them for ages and you’re right… one seemed to be bossier than the rest…lol! It was weird at first seeing/hearing crows around here (we’re on the coast)… made us feel like we were in the country! I think they have moved in because of drought… but I like them and the sounds they make…. : ))
