Thank you Andrew… it was a magical morning in a magical place… mother nature was showing off… : )

Excellent light and colours, love that cloudy sea. Nice work.

  • JennyMac replied

Thanks drec… the mist created a kind of surreal effect really… if you know the area you’d know that you would normally see the other towns of the mountains but here Mt Solitary is truly ‘solitary’... maybe I should have called it that… : )

Wouldn;t it be lovely to meditate there! What a lovely picture

  • JennyMac replied

Wow AngelArtiste… how did you know… I used to meditate there quite often! I didn’t on this occassion.. or at least not in the sense of sitting quietly and doing nothing… but it was extremelly meditative to be caught up in your own little world, truly absorbed in the beauty before you… : )

jenny… everytime I see you around my neck of the woods.. I get the opportunity to come to your PF and see the wonder of your work.. this piece in particular is quite amazing as I would love to know just where you stood. I see you meditate and it shows in the quality of your moments.. Amazing comp too.

  • JennyMac replied

Hi linaji… thank you for your kind words! It’s really quite a thrill getting feedback from the rb family. Narrowneck is as the name implies… a narrow strip of land jutting out into the valleys of the Blue Mountains (NSW Australia). There’s a fire trail out to the end and along the way… lots of special places where you can leave the track and find your way to the edge of the cliffs to look out across the valley. So essentially I was standing on the edge of a cliff! One of my most favourite places… and perfect for meditation… This is on the eastern side (of course for sunrise) and only Mt Solitary could be seen through the mist… usually you would look back towards the townships of the Blue Mountains. I lived in the mountains for a number of years and never tired of it’s beauty… we live by the sea now… but I don’t go for very long without a visit back there! I’m hooked! There is such a special energy to the place… ah… I’ve probably raved enough… thanks again… : )

Magnificednt — talk about the right place at the right time!

  • JennyMac replied

Thanks Harry! It was pretty lucky in some ways. I had decided to walk out along Narrowneck to photograph the dawn… problem is finding a suitable vantage point in the dark (I had looked in daylight prior to this, but couldn’t find the spot in the dark!).... and then the light started happening so I just bashed a bit through the bush and found myself here!!! I was also lucky it was a spectacular dawn… !
