The ice and snow that cap majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania are vanishing before our eyes. If current conditions persist, climate change experts say, Kilimanjaro’s world-renowned glaciers, which have covered Africa’s highest peak for centuries, will be gone within the next two decades. How did it go? Amazing shot btw Lady J – hope it did go ok and you retuned unscathed!
Had the most amazing time thank Stupot! Made it to the top in true Lady J style! Would have gotten even more shots like this if my hands hadn’t have been freezing with the -20 temp!!! Returned unscathed (fortnately had a few days on safari to help recover…)
Jenny, immediate favorite. I never imagined the cap had such beauty. When did you climb it? Compare the beaty you witnessed to the magnificent wildlife Tanzania and neighbouring Kenya has to offer some 5,000 metres below. This is God’s country. Ice and snow are so difficult to photograph . Well done.
