This silly girl nested right beside the path in the Cairns Tropical Zoo even though she had loads of hidey places to lay her eggs!

gorgeous photo Jenny, these seem as mad re where they nest as Plovers.
we had some plovers lay a nest right beside the helipad at the hospital, when the chopper came in they attacked it and when the chicks hatched the chopper blew them in all directions! There was a mad hunt with patients, wardies, nurses and doctors all trying to find them! They were all retrieved and mum and dad moved them on then!!! Thanks Gini :)
Beautiful image Jenny . . great colours and detail :-)
OOh thats quite funny… A pair of plovers keep nesting right next to a roundabout near us, the mower seems to mow around them all the time, we don’t dare go near, they get very uppity!
wonderful capture Jenny
