Thanks so much for taking time to look at my pictures and to comment and even better fav them :) Apologies if I don’t respond to comments but I do always try to reciprocate comments when able to. Have a nice day LOL JD
Great shot Jenny. What lens were you using?
thanks Jim, I have a newish nikon D700 but can’t afford the big lens for birds, so for this I pulled the sony out with the sigma 50 – 500mm. It’s big and heavy and slow but with the spot meter I can sometimes get a good shot.

that’s beautiful Jenny! the background is great too
Wonderful capture Jenny, superb minimalist image and I love the variety of greens in the backdrop
Nice work Jenny. I am down at Rainbow Beach via Fraser Island at the moment and there are Bee-eaters everywhere. I have been on the lookout for the Osprey. Hope to capture some at Fraser tomorrow. Cheers Gordon.
they are just the coolest birds, would love a nice lens for the nikon ……..
I love this one Jenny!! I’ve found a group of Rainbow Bee-eaters just down the road from me, but unfortunately I don’t have the right lens to capture them. I’ve asked Santa to get me one, I wonder how I’ll go?…
I had to sneak up and crop heavily! they like Bon Jovi LOUD!! turn up the music and they;ll be there!!
Simple, yet very effective composition! :^)
