    This looks like a rose I had at my last house. It is called Just Joey and is one of the most reliable roses ever. You have captured it beautifully!

    Thanks for your comments Marjorie, and for naming the rose for me. I photographed it during an Open Garden and had no idea what it was, just that it was beautiful. I love Roses but don’t know a lot about them. :-)

    I used to have a nursery called WIndflower Farm, specializing in old garden roses, english (David Austin) roses and perennials. It was the beginning of the huge perennial interest and I had the time of my life. I never made any money, but I did meet lots of kindred spirits. The roses were among my favorites and I was always fighting with the deer to keep my roses alive and well. My little “Just Joey” was over by the edge of the garage and seemed to escape their notice.

    Windflower Farm is a lovely name for a nursery, Marjorie. It sounds beautiful and it must have been really good for your soul working amongst beautiful plants.
