    Oh how sweet, Boots’ mum was a ruby as were his brothers and sisters. The breader bred him with a black and tan hoping for a black and tan bitch, he is adorable.

    Stunningly beautiful! We had a ruby Cavi called Lee-Lee, she died aged only 6 in the early 1980s & I still miss her.

    Thanks. Yes, very sad, a heart condition, I think. Then we had a tri Cavi called Lady Olga for 8 years, she died in 1990. They’re such wonderful dogs. We have Jack Russell crosses now.

    You have had bad luck. You didn’t have Lady Olga for very long either. Although the majority of Cavs live longer lives there has been what is referred to as juvenile heart problems in some lines. Fortunately reputable breeders these days have their dogs checked annually for the onset of heart murmurs and are only breeding from sound dogs and bitches.

    Yes, I have heard the situation is much better now – thankfully!! It was very sad to lose both dogs so young. We have had Katy (our Jack Russell X Chihuahua) for 10 years now :-)

    Hopefully Katy will live for many more years. I’ve been lucky with my Cavaliers coming from good stock with most living for 12 to 16 years and one I bred living until 17.

    What a precious little thing. How beautiful she is! How I would love to have one of these puppies. I just can’t afford to buy one. I’ve seen some that were found in pounds, but I sure haven’t run across any…lol This one is absolutely beautiful…I love that color.
