Cavaliers at Christmas
Lexie (left) and her daughter, Tansy, dressed for a snowy winter and ready for Christmas. Believe it or not, this photo was taken on a very hot (36 degrees Centigrade – 97 degrees Farenheight) Australian summer day, outside, in the shade of a gum tree!!! An old sheet over the fence behind depicted a wintery sky and lots of cotton wool was used to imitate snow. Add an artifical Christmas Tree, liberally sprayed with ‘canned’ snow and some green and silver tinsel and summer was transfored to winter! :-)
Tansy was not the easiest subject to photograph because she wouldn’t stay still, but eventually she trod on the end of her scarf and that kept her still long enough for me to grab a few shots before she worked out how to move again!!

Gorgeous :)
Jenny Brice replied
Thanks Globalphotos. :-)
Dragan Petrovic
This would make a nice Christmass card. They like to be photographed, no doubt.
Jenny Brice replied
Yes, I have used it for a Christmas Card. Cavaliers are very photogenic but Tansy the younger one (right) wasn’t very good at sitting still until she stepped on the end of her scarf and that kept her still long enough for several shots. :-)
Evita
Aw this sooo cute!! wonderful card!! :D
Jenny Brice replied
Thanks for your comment Evita, and for adding it too your favourites. :-)
yolanda
This is great Jenny. How did you get them to sit still like that? My beagle Flash is so hard to photograph as she doesn’t stay still, mind you she is only 8 months old :-)
Jenny Brice replied
Thanks for your comment yolanda. The dogs are used to being groomed on a table so I set the scene on a small table for the photo and that helped. Lexie, the older one (left) is a perfect model – and has been since she was young, but Tansy was a bit restless until she stepped on the end of her scarf and that kept her still long enough for a few photos!! :-))
TREVOR IRWIN
The perfect Christmas Card!.
Jenny Brice replied
Thanks so much Trevor. :-)

Thanks for your comments Dottie. They are one of my favourite breeds too, the other being the Golden Retriever, but I love all dogs, pure bred or not. :-)

Marjorie Wallace
Another truly adorable Christmas card. Now we know how the magazines and catalogues do it.
Jenny Brice replied
Thanks again Marjorie. LOL – I think the catalogues and magazines probably have much more sophisticated methods than I do!!! :-))

Great winter shot in the middle of summer! I love your calendar. Nice job with it! I always think it’s funny the way they look, kinda mad, all the time. The only time we get a “smile” out of Daisy is when she’s panting!
Jenny Brice replied
Thanks very much for your comments Nanagahma. And thanks also for adding my calendar to your favorites. I’m really pleased you like it. :-)
