    Thanks BigD. I’m lucky enough to have a row of these trees each side of the track into my home. This is how they looked in 2007, but this year, with the severe drought we are having, the leaves just shrivelled up and died without any of their usual glorious colour. :-((

    Shot is great but leaves me wanting to peek a bit to left, right and up. It must be that something else distracting would come into view if you moved 5 meters back. Still, pic has some of impressionists paintings flavour.

    Thanks for your comment laminarwind. I can see what you mean. I wanted to isolate one Golden Ash tree from its neighbours and this was the result. You can see the tree in context in this photo:
