Thanks for your comment, John. Yes, this is a photo manipulation. I can’t remember exactly how I acheived this but…

I generally duplicate the background image twice, and work on the two new layers. That way you’re free to experiment and if you go too far with something, you can start over using the background to duplicate two new layers.

I do remember using the dry brush effect in photoshop CS2. My other favourite effect is accented edges, so It’s safe to say I would’ve used this too (probably set to around 24). I usually alter the colouring in the colour balance screen, then I might add filters. In this case, I went for muted tones, so this would be altered by reducing the saturation. I hope this helps… got to go – the fox is back!!
