February Portrait II
After some very helpful advice in the critique forum, I decided to process another self-portrait from the set I took yesterday. Although pleased with my other self-portrait, it was advised I include more of the hair and also the ear. I feel this has worked very well, although these things are of course subjective. Anyway, I’m much happier with this one.
If anyone would like to offer critique on this, or my other February portrait, I have started a forum thread here All views welcome!

I like this one better….just gorgeous! This reminds me of portraits my mother has from the 50’s, just a bit. Can you make me look like this. I can’t seem to take one of myself that isn;t blurry, which is probably preferable to a sharp one…LOL.
Lovely work, all kidding aside. Probably easier when you have a great profile to work with!

yes, you have a tendency to chop bits of head off ;o)
this is such a great picture, and including all of you in it makes it all the more powerful!
Am anxious to get some done with you if this is the kind of thing you produce – amazing! x
Jennifer Woodward replied
I have a tendency to focus on the eyes, so some bits need chopping! But don’t worry… the full head shot (not chop) is on its way! ;-)

A lovely portrait of a very pretty girl :))
Kimberly Palmer
Beautiful as well, Jennifer.

Beautiful portrait…but I have to say,, I like the other cropping better myself. They are both fantastic pieces of work and for their own individual uses, they are magnificent. But I prefer the other one myself, only because I prefer that crop as opposed to this one. but it’s all in the eye of the beholder isn’t it? You are doing fantastic work.
