a beautiful image! but…a question on ‘correctness’? I think u have 2 males..rather then a male and female? i believe most females of the deer species are antler-less.

Most do, but Caribou deers are a breed where both the male and the female grow antlers. But even so, these could be too males – or two females – or whatever the viewer would like them to be! Thanks for stopping by, Carla! :-)

ooo i didn’t think about the Caribou! and now that u mention it they do….being more in the southern part in our warmer climates we don’t see any of those beautiful animals here….
what i love so much about this image? a few years ago i was driving at night…and saw at the top of a hill framed by the moon? a huge male buck with antlers…..eating in the grass with some hanging from his mouth as steam puffed out …thanx for the great memory!

I think there’s another breed aswell, but only rarely and i’ve forgotton the name now!
So glad I’ve brought back the memory of what sounded like a very special moment – I’d have loved to have seen that! :-)
