Erosion

Mmmm… I feel a bit weird publishing this because it’s all soppy and ooey gooey LOL, weird… I can publish a poem about sucking and fucking in a heartbeat, but anything even remotely romantic makes me feel uncomfortable. Ah well… I can always hide it again. :-)

One touch from him
one gentle hand
upon my cheek
one word from his lips
leaves me unable
to speak

One finger tracing
its way down my throat
or an arm
around my shoulders
keeps me afloat

One soft carress
just one touch
as he helps me undress
and I dont hurt as much

Memories
once hauntingly heavy
suddenly seem
so much lighter
as rocks of pain
are eroded
making the depths
of my soul
seem brighter

Pebbles
left to shimmer
on the sea-swept shore
leave me yearning
for so much more
as the salt of my tears
flows back into the ocean
the taste of his lips
breaks down
my emotions

He makes me feel special
and proud to be me
I have no more words
so silently

I thank him
through the tears
in my eyes
because I now know
that everything
in both life
and death
caught within
that final breath
is simply a disguise

But his love
and all that
he shows me
I can be
genuinely
carresses me
and in his presence
I feel complete
swept away
by Summer heat

Warm and whole again…

I love the raw honest energy in this. I feel as if it speaks so much about how we can all often feel in the presence of love, vulnerable, remebering pain and on occasion allowing it to dissolve and be one in the moment.

You really are an amazing writer. You have a depth that seems bottomless. It isn’t easy to be wonderfully sharp and edgy and then so amazingly detailed in portraying such deep emotion.

letting yourself became vunerable is the hardest of things to be. I sure you have deep emotions that if expressed as well as this piece would be well recieved. Take a chance, what’s to lose. x

  • JenniferB replied

mmm… I’ve been feeling over medicated and emotionally numb for some time when it comes to writing, I’ll find a nice, quiet place to sit and reflect some time and see what happens, there’s a bit too much business going on inside my head right now, but unfortunately very little inside of my heart, what you said is very true though… thanks. :)

You do the sensual and romantic very well. Wondering…why the sex does not bother you, but the touching does. Could THAT be Freudian. Well you can argue that among yourselves. Loved the write Jennifer

  • JenniferB replied

I guess I just find it easier to expose my Hole… More than I do my Soul… Which do you find is the more vulnerable of the two? ;-)
Glad you liked the poem trwoody, and thanks.
