Sometimes our roles are muddled, reversed and confusing…and we spend alot of our lives trying to work it out! I know I have….and still am! Will I ever get there? I don’t know – and now I don’t worry about it! There’s a wonderful story of the goddess Matt…she held a feather in her hand to balance the scales, while the other god and goddesses held stones. Her question was simple…Is there one that is glad that I lived? If the answer is yes then her feather will balance your life…and you can move forward in evolution…Well I’m glad you did this piece….and it gives us an opportunity to communicate and remind us to be gentle with our judgments about ourselves and others! I blow my feather to you – to keep safe, well happy, loved and protectedSx

  • JenniferB replied

thanks for taking the time to provide me with your insight and blessings Sophie, much appreciated. :-)

this is one of the most cutting pieces of work I have seen on Rb…. it tears deeply into everything I thought I believed or hoped …. but then a lot of your work does that to me.

Your treatment is so apt and perfect for the message – thoughts and beliefs carved in stone but hacked and scratched with decay and reality…...
Beautiful work….. if “beautiful” is the right word to use here….

  • JenniferB replied

aw… thanks aglaia, darn, I hope it doesn’t give anyone the idea to start a petition up against me so that I get kicked out on the same day! lol that’s what happened the last time I made the home page. hahaha

I particularly enjoy the sentiment in the middle, in black. Nicely done, interesting piece, though I would never, ever buy anything that said I was my father’s lover or my mother’s mother, because it might lead people to believe I meant it. lol

hence the reason most of my shit, if not all, is not for sale. ;-)

    thanks Arletta.

Hey Jen…THIS IS soooooooooooo AMAZING…I love the Power behind it…your words are SHARP and TRUE….Love the ART work…again THIS is just AMAZING!

  • JenniferB replied 22 days ago

Thanks jacqleen, this is one of my older pieces of work, pre-photoshop days, but I’m wondering if my work wasn’t more emotive and powerful back then when it remained raw and gutteral… I’d love to combine poetry with art again some time. :)

  • jacqleen

U should…..and U know what, sometimes I’m glad that I don’t know much photo shop, cuz I think thats why my images have that little realness to them LOL…who knows ….but sometimes less IS more :) xx

So true, it’s easy to ‘over do’ things when you get enthusiastic about digitally enhancing work, I do it most of the time! haha! xox
