White Trash
Just revamping some of my old poetry to new images now that I’ve got a few PS skills under my belt, the works a bit dark and depressing, but it’s no way a reflection of how I’m currently feeling, ‘twas just part of a process I needed to go through with my art and writing some time ago… All feels much better these days. ;-)

i like to go back and tinker with images too…sometimes i think the message gets lost….love this babe xx
JenniferB replied
i’ve had writer’s block forever, so I was reading through some old stuff and decided to revamp some of it with image, wish I could write something new though! xox
Coronus
Visual poetry at its most hard-hitting.
JenniferB replied
Thanks Jonathan, I’ve got a few more old poems I want to redo with images, all pretty dark stuff, but experiences and feelings that are thankfully well behind me now… ;-)
ieneke jansen
Glad you are not in that “place” anymore however this is a great piece Jen…I am going to have to teach myself PS one of these days – it looks fun and I have the program on my pc…duh :S
Is this model you by chance???
JenniferB replied
occasionally the dark hands of depression reach out for me, but I beat them back with a big stick now! ;-)
PS can look really daunting at first, the first time I opened it I closed it straight away and wouldn’t look at it again for over 6 months! haha!
Matt Roberts
Glad all is better. Still, good work :)
JenniferB replied
Yup! I opted for insanity instead. ;-)
butchart
great font for this jen.. it works really well… oh and perfect colour choice….....:)
JenniferB replied
bloody writer’s block, it’s like trying to find 1001 things to do when you can’t write any more!!! ah well, tis still a way of expressing creativity I suppose! thanks butchart. :-)
Coronus
i know that feeling – I have been reposting old poems about things I am over. I think sometimes when have to enter the penumbra of our past in order to evaluate things… and appreciate that things are better or getting better.
I think what hit me hard about this particular poem was the strong message of feeling worthless. That hit me hard.
JenniferB replied
Just a bit brain numb and stuck for new ideas, some of my old stuff, depressing though it was, conveyed strong messages that images seem to get well with, it’s all part of the journey forwards I guess, and yep, for a long, long time I felt that way, there’s the occasional moment I still do, but not as often these days thankfully. :)
Graham Farquhar
Beautiful. I love the posture. And the way the last six words are put into context (and subverted by) the seventh. Nice touch. Great image
JenniferB replied
Thanks graham, old poems and memories, new pictures. :)

I’ve got a magic wand that sprinkles golden glitter all around me, like I’m cleansing myself of it and all my darkness. I think I’m an angel now….....k that was a definite streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttcccccccccccchhhhhhhhhh I know but I like to laugh especially at myself :P
As for PS on of the days I suppose (sigh)
JenniferB replied
golden glitter… now that’s a new kink I haven’t gotten around to trying out yet… ;-)
butchart
well look at it this way.. you are reworking and getting a stronger message through.. at least you’re not just reposting…i don’t get that…...... :)
JenniferB replied
I guess so, even the old work was still part of the journey, though it feels as if it was a different ‘me’ in a different lifetime now, I’m sure I died at some point and came back again… :)
valzart
w0w! what a haunting creation sweetheART absolutely superb ;} happy hippy hugglez
JenniferB replied
thanks val, just trying out a few image/word combinations for effect, I appreciate your kind words. :)
Mel Brackstone
You’ve always had a way with your art, even without so many PS skills…you’re really flying with it nowadays!
JenniferB replied
Thank’s Mel, I never did, and still don’t, really consider myself an Artist, a writer… yep, but not an artist, all this is really a hobby that’s filling up a VERY long spell of writer’s block, when I get the words flowing again, the pics will be able to stop for a while. :)
awdigitaldreams
hmmm – you might have kickstarted me again hon… have been having a bit of a block meself lately LOL! Great concept and image! xoxox
JenniferB replied
yep, if in doubt, take an old concept and redo it in a new way, it’s another way of keeping the creativity flowing when the creativity has dried up a bit, thanks awd. :) xox
Juilee Pryor
so bruised…. so beautiful
JenniferB replied
thanks juilee, I like to delve into the darker, more fragile stuff every once in a while. :)
whoseenme
i like this…now Jen, is that you in the pic? a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ would solve a world of mysteries….she is beautiful.
JenniferB replied
no, it’s not me, I’ve been in some, but not this one. :)
glad you like it, I want to do a few more around the same theme for my next vid.
Christie Moses
just pulls at my heart and clenches it. those eyes are so wounded and beautiful xxxx
JenniferB replied
thanks Christie, it’s a sad journey that’s now far behind me thankfully! :) xox
Wendy Slee
very “in your face”...... sure gets the message across with those haunted pain filled eyes…. sad how we have to judge everything, from words, to actions, to people, and art…..
How nice to simply “be”.....
Your work is very powerful….... bravo!
JenniferB replied
thanks wendy, oh, I think I judged myself back then far more than anyone else ever could have. ;-)
doreen01
Clever piece Jennifer!...in more ways!
JenniferB replied
thanks doreen, just giving some of my old poetry a bit of a cosmetic make over. ;-)
navybrat
haunting….yet cleverly done!
JenniferB replied
thanks navybrat, though someone as accomplished with PS as yourself would see the mistakes and imperfections in this! haha! they stare me in the face with glaring clarity. ;-)
TrishMarrs

JenniferB replied
Thanks Trish, a new slant on an old piece of work. :)
madvlad

Sticky Flower
^prudes are rudes.lol…and here’s the old cliche..one persons trash is another persons treasure.personally, I think trashy treasure is the best..might join a dating site “seeking treasure hunter” :-)
JenniferB replied

JenniferB replied

Mudsoldat

JenniferB replied
yup… I climbed out of the gutter and put a lid over the manhole so I wouldn’t fall down it again! ;-)
Shanina Conway
Love it! Love how your incorporating your poems and art with such impact;)
JenniferB replied
Ah, when I’ve finished revamping these old words to images, I’ll move onto something different, not sure what yet though, thanks Shanina. :)
atomikboy

JenniferB replied
This is no one known to me any more, but ‘she’ takes a great piccy. thanks. ;-)
eon .
There is, to me @ least, a clarity now, even on the darker side of your potent creativity ” – ))
JenniferB replied
Oh, I had this poem on an old image, which when I looked back on, I thought looked like shit! so I hid it and redid it now that I have a few more skills tucked under my belt. ;-)
Druidstorm
You use your darkness well Jenny! This is powerful stuff! Bravo!!!...)o(
