The Blue Ridge Parkway near Boone, North Carolina US. This Split Rail Fence near Lump Hill attracted me to its rustic charm. Near this site in 1868 Tom Dule, having murdered his lover, wrote his famous ballad “Hang Down Your Head Tom Dule” the night before he was hanged/Nikon D700, Nikkor 24-70,

I treasure connections with those who are touched in some way by nature’s beauty. During those magic moments, we share a special awe in nature’s presence. We are compelled to see and share. Connections make us who we are and relationships within nature give our lives meaning.

Ever so lovely, Joe. Wonderful capture with the sunlit fence and field in the foreground and on the fall trees, then the contrast of the storm clouds. This is an image to look at over and over. Sandy

  • It was a beautiful site, just two days ago on the Blue Ridge Parkway. So glad you enjoyed it as much as I do.
