Egret parents must be very special creatures to put themselves through these feedings several times a day.

Nature In It’s Entirety, June 22, 2011

great white egrets, egrets, birds, shore birds, feeding

I treasure connections with those who are touched in some way by nature’s beauty. During those magic moments, we share a special awe in nature’s presence. We are compelled to see and share. Connections make us who we are and relationships within nature give our lives meaning.

As i look at this photo,I can hear all the noises!…great shot!

  • Thank you Daniel. When a parent approaches, they go crazy peeping and squawking for food.

Looks more like Mom is laying down the “law” to mind you manners when you eat LOL. Wonderful series showing the chicks growing up. Sandy

  • Thank you Sandy, and growing up they are. Short test flights will be coming soon.

those egrets I see on your pics seems to be arguing all the time! lol beautiful picture again Joe ;)

  • thank you Manon! It is not easy being a chick. the tallest one here is a parent, backing away from those flailing beaks to bring up more to feed them. The chicks are so big now that feedings are more violent.
