Neutral Density Filters enable the photographer to extend shutter speed for soft and unusual effects. This image is the result of a dawn 10 second exposure made possible by a Singh Ray neutral density filter, which reduces exposure while maintaining integrity of the scene.

I treasure connections with those who are touched in some way by nature’s beauty. During those magic moments, we share a special awe in nature’s presence. We are compelled to see and share. Connections make us who we are and relationships within nature give our lives meaning.

Yes I love what the extra slow shutter speeds do to any body of water giving it a mystery look to it. Water seems to turn into fog…Well done…T

  • Thanks Thomas! I enjoy using NDFs for these “mystery” effects.

beautiful perspective and I love that milky water… almost like a mist. light is great with that low sun. well done dear ;)

  • Thank you Manon. This was a beautiful setting with waves crashing against the pier. You can see where they hit hardest on the upper left side where it is more misty with some orange sunlight reflecting.

Love the softness to this and also the sunlight shining too. Under the board walk.

  • I need to do more of this neutral density work, it can be visually pleasing. Thanks 66, this was at dawn with great light, was very pleased.
