And The Lannnd of The FREEEEEEEEE! by

Barred Owl at Lettuce Lake Regional Park, Tampa, Florida USA. This owl appears to be holding a musical note, but is really yawning after spending a long night in drenching rains. As you notice, his chest “bars” are not even apparent, since feathers are all askew. He sat for hours today trying to dry out his feathers and snoozing all afternoon.

I treasure connections with those who are touched in some way by nature’s beauty. During those magic moments, we share a special awe in nature’s presence. We are compelled to see and share. Connections make us who we are and relationships within nature give our lives meaning.

  • Wow, yes, a great shot at Brookgreen on a very hot day. How wonderful that was! Sigh!. I was thinking of you today as I was in a very moist area where you would love the tiny and beautiful plants and creatures.
