My Cathedral, My Addiction
Ode to mountains, clean air, endorphins…........ :o)
These mountains are my cathedral
God is in the sky
Goddess is in the ground
Spirit speaks to me in the trickling streams and roaring rivers
And the thorns on the thistles that cut my skin
The sisters are my counsel
These aspen trees that listen to my fears
My pain and torment
They clear my head, balance my emotions
And the answers come
The air they clean is my elixir
Transforming poisons and toxins within and without
Pushing my body in these elements
To sweat and pant, run and slide
Makes me high
I sparkle like snowflakes in the sunshine
Endorphins are my drug, my addiction
My balancing chemicals
I cannot truly live without these things
