JenLand replied
Yessir. It’s called “poverty with a view” at the moment. :0) But I guess I’d rather be here than anywhere regardless of the money….......

if you live in a place like this, you might appreciate this Pikes Peak Tribute
this is done by Roby Deaton; we have been communicating about fractal art for an upcoming CD he is doing about fracts…an amazing musician…his last CD was about the peaks in Colorado called the “fourteeners” (peaks 14,000’
and above)...Colorado Elysium
(at his main site, Mystic Images) he has an amazing talent for translating the grandeur into sound…
(hope these links work…)

Thanks! When I first looked at the shot on the camera I was bummed about the aspen branch, but when I got home and looked at it full screen – I really kind of liked it! So I’m glad you did too. :0)

cool Jen! they are beautiful mountains … ever see the big horns? they’re fantastical too (big smile) .... but I have to tell you I haven’t heard this song in eons … it’s a keeper both this beautiful photo and the song (big smile)
JenLand replied
Thanks Owl.
You’re gonna just shake your head…. I’ve lived here for 28 years (18 here in Jackson and 10 in Pinedale) and I’ve never seen the Big Horns!! Shameful I know! I so want to get over that way, and see them and Devil’s Tower for myself and all the rest of beautiful Wyoming.
Gotta say that Zooreka got me into cruising the old tunes these past few days. :0) That Zoo, he’s awesome!
owlspook
ah don’t worry about it .. perhaps this summer you could pick me up in Gillette and we could drive over to the tower together and then perhaps over to Mt Rushmore and a few other neat places I know of and come back up through Newcastle .. would be a fun road trip .. sadly I don’t have a driver’s license or I’d ferry both of us … was going blind from cataracts for years and couldn’t have a license .. got the surgery this year and I’m aiming for my license this coming summer sometime …. so what ya think? would be fun .. bring our cameras … well I know it’s way too early to make plans for summer but it still sounds like fun (big smile) wonder if Wiley and Copper could be friends … Copper loves to go on road trips (big smile)
owlspook
ah Zoo … ya I think he’s awesome too (big smile) ... and as for the music kick … geez sometimes I follow a link and then spend hours on youtube following one tangent after another (big grin)
JenLand replied
Yeah, this computer thing can be a bit of time disappear-er eh?! I would LOVE to do a road trip to all those places! I’m sorry about the license :-( but I can definitely do the driving! Hopefully this ski season will bring me all the financial rewards I need to get back up on my feet again and then we’ll do it!!

Oh yeah, and the song, I have made a mix CD of good old days, got that one and hear it often, inspired me to invest in an electric 12 string in the old garage band days, circa 1967!
JenLand replied
Glad you like the photo! Still have that guitar?
syd baker
No, that was high school, and many possessions have left my hands since then, especially during the Journey Years. In 1988, my dear departed Grandma left me enough money to aquire a couple nice guitars, keyboard, drum machine, and a 4 track analog music recorder, and I spent a few years putting down quite a few instrumental originals, playing all the parts.
Others wanted to jam, but I wanted to put my music down for posterity before it ran out, which it did, but my whole idea was to create the rock and roll that crew members on the Starship Enterprise would be listening to! Science fiction rock and roll, or as I called it, SciFiHiFi. Copyrighted all the best stuff under Zero Gravity, because of the lack of seriousness in the music! Ha!
Tried to start up again recently, but my hands just don’t work right for guitar anymore, when you don’t play for 18 years I guess that happens… I kept the keyboard and the Steinberger, if you don’t know what that is, google it, they’re totally cool guitars!
Thanks for making me remember those times, got ‘em on CD, still sometimes listen very critically…
JenLand
Ah, sorry no guitar playing for you! I so love playing, even nobody else seems to enjoy it as much as me ;0)
I’m glad to have brought back good memories Syd!
