Artistic expression is what I love. I’m a musician and am returning to visual art.

Creating art is, to me, sacred play and the child in me adores it when I play. I’m not a pro, haven’t had formal training as an artist but I decided to explore visual art one day a number of years ago, when I was going through some old things. I found some schoolwork from when I was in 4th grade, typical “about me” thing. It posed the question, what do you want to be when you grow up? I simply stated, an artist. I figured the 9 year old me probably had a great idea of what’s really important and what feeds the soul!

So I began expressing those long hidden creative yearnings. Mandalas are an obsession, perhaps a need for balance, healing and centering. Photomontage is also a favorite as well as painting with chalk pastels. They are such a cool, tactile experience. I attempt photography. I’ve recently become completely enthralled by fractals! It’s all fun.

I hope you find something here to enjoy, think about or to offer a critique on. I’m always learning and evolving.
