Hello, I’m Jen, I’m new here. My little collie is my avatar, unlike me, she loves being in front of the camera!
I’m English, living near the South Coast. Not a photographer, but an avid snap taker. I’ll refer to my pics as “work” if and when judgement starts to play a greater role than luck.

Until three years ago, if I had a camera, it was because some kind friend or rellie had recycled a discarded one in my direction. When friends introduced me to online photo sharing I got hooked and quickly bought myself a Canon S5 IS to take better pics of my mutts. Fellow mutt owners asked me to take pics of their mutts too, which I did with great enthusiasm but limited success. It was a year ago I grasped the nettle and bought a second-hand DSLR and my love affair with my wonderful Canon 40D started. I’m a slow learner, but I am so enjoying the process. If my pics lack finesse, I’m working on it, with help from lots of new chums!

Never one to overlook the beautiful details in everyday life, my world has been lit up by this camera. I’m happier still if I can share some of the joy I experience in capturing forever a spellbinding moment.
I’ll take a pic of just about anything … I haven’t been at it long enough to have a style or preference, but I’m much more inspired by the idea of recording a mood, atmosphere or emotion, than recording a blunt fact, however awesome.

My heart belongs to my animals. I love to take un-posed pics of dogs, in the hope that I can catch a fragment of their personality, not just the beautiful exterior.
I could show you Salisbury by taking a pano from the top of the carpark, but I’d get much more satisfaction giving an impression of the city thru 25 snaps of some little bits that make it what it is.
If I ever get to take a portrait I’d hope to show an emotion rather than a face.

I’m rambling. … my galleries will probably do the same. More than a collection of snaps for sale … tho you can buy ’em if you like! … this will be a chunk of what makes me tick. I hope something here affects you as it does me.

Enjoy

Thank you.. whoever you are.
I am in shock! / When I opened my RedBubble account it was so the folks who own the doggies I love to take candids of had the opportunity to buy if they wanted to. Pure lazyness really. Saved me going to the print shop. Never in a million years would I have dreamed of selling anything else. / To my annonymous purchaser…thank you … this is the most amazing feeling :o) / Jen
