Peace be still
So often these words of reassurance, from God himself, come to me, often in times of trouble, distress and worry, but also when I cannot sleep. And it is then that I am eased into letting go to truly Rest in Him.
Tonight I woke restless with much on my mind ~ our imminent move being at the centre of my thoughts ~ and a throbbing headache. So I rose, took some paracetamol and after browsing through Red Bubble, these words began and thus I wrote. Another gift. More reassurance.
And PEACE!

Peace
be still
and know
I am God
floats and repeats
in my head
in my heart
every day
all my life
I hear God say, whisper in my ear,
closer than my very breath
to be still
still my mind
my thoughts
concerns and worries
to rest in him
know he has it all in hand
to know
deep within my being
deep within my heart
at the core of who I am
that I have security and love
beyond knowing
or understanding
and all things are in his hand
I am held in his palm
for he is God
and in and through him
all
things
are
and
will
be well
So, be at peace my child
still your heart
your concerns and
worries
for there is no need
simply know
and
trust
that I
am
God.

Really? I am so hubmled but quietly (until now!) reassured that these words were given to me but not just for me. That they were for you too is simply wonderful and rather special…to touch others is the greatest privelege.

Hi Gail. I know you left this comment eons ago, but thought the least I could/should do was reply. What’s that saying about better late? oh yes…than never! I wrote and uploaded this I think the day before we moved from Wagga and although we are more or less settled in Dubbo now (5 & 1/2 weeks now! :O) I still don’t have an internet connection. We’re trying to work on it, but it seems everything is on the go slow…also, obstacles abound. But the computer guy is coming tomorrow afternoon, so pray that he can sort it for me!!!
So it seems to me that, as you reminded me, I would do well to listen to ‘my own’ words right now. Or at the very least to God’s…xxxxOox

Wow…really??? I’m so pleased that they have helped you. In fact they’re there for me again today. As I wrote them in the wee small hours just before we moved from Wagga to Dubbo (have found out how to get to you from here…not too hard at all), they were timely then. But being eternal words, I guess they come back over and over. As I re-read them just now, I realised that’s what I need to do. Stop crossing fingers that I’ll finally eventually get a connection to the internet sorted and instead pray and leave it in God’s hands….what a novel thought! Can’t work out why I didn’t do that earlier…Whoops!!..xxxxOoOx
