mocked and ridiculed
As I was uploading a photo of a last year’s Good Friday cross, I contemplated it, reflected and thought about what Jesus went through, the incredible suffering and heartache he endured for me, for you, for us, and I was moved to words.
mocked and ridiculed belongs to the following groups:

taunted and teased
draped in purple
a crown of thorns
pierced his skin
whipped and bleeding
torn and broken
suffering in pain
he was led away
struggling and staggering
weak, alone
bearing a burden
so heavy
weighed down
stumbling
falling
silent
in pain
load lifted
shoulders strong
raised
encouraged
to go on
to that hill
that place
of a skull
to face
a fate
his
and his
alone
lifted high
the sky darkened
and
he
died……..........

Jan, this is so beautiful. When I think about what He really went through, it makes me sad and a little anrgy. BUT, very very grateful.. If He hadn’t died for me then I don’t know where I’d be today! Wonderful writing!! :))))
