into the candle flame

into the candle flame

This writing is but a pale reflection of the visual work which inspired it, REFLECT by one of Red Bubble’s true gems, Cynthia-spiritinme.

Thank you Cynthia for inspiring us once again!

I would encourage everyone who hasn’t met Cynthia (spiritinme) or been blessed by her work, to stop by her page and see what the rest of us already know.

into the candle flame belongs to the following groups:

I look
into the candle
flame and see
such peace
such joy
serenity
and clarity

I sit
I kneel
I slip away
to meditate
to reflect
to stop
and pray

I slip away
to another place
transported from here
the present
the heartache
the pain
and the fear
to joy
and laughter
to love
ever after

to be lifted
and filled
with life anew
carried in the arms
of the One
who always knew

wonderfully well written, I can do that too, drift off staring at a naked flame, beautiful and visual. hugsxxx

  • Jan Stead JEMp... replied

Thank you for your comment Hilary. It was really the drifting off staring into the shot of a flame which inspired this piece, although I suspect that my years of doing the same with a live, naked one had a bearing on it. ; )
So glad you like it though.

Beautifully written work Jan – you are so gifted. This just flows and I feel drawn into the scene

  • Jan Stead JEMp... replied

Oh wow!! What a beautiful, encouraging and affirming comment Bev.
You are right though, it did just flow, inspired as I was by Cynthia’s beautiful image.
Nevertheless I am amazed that you had that response.

What lovely words from you CJ! Thank you very much indeed, but it was Cynthia’s wonderful shot which inspired these words into life.

But I am pleased you find peace in them.

I love watching the flicker of a candle ….. so mezmerising!!!! Wonderful work Jan!!!

  • Jan Stead JEMp... replied

I agree with you…there’s something very special about the flicker of the candle flame! And so many things to different people, though peaceful and mesmerising are two of the more common ones.

Thank you for your compliment and I’m glad you like it.

    Hi there!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. It was the inspiration for this (another of Cynthia’s wonderful works) which was beautiful actually, so I am very pleased if you see that beauty, really a reflection of the person, in this is too. Hopefully it is a further reflection…

OH thank you…what a lovely compliment, I don’t think there’s anything better anyone could say to me, for my aim was to lift Cynthia’s spirits and that my words might maybe come close to her amazing work, this piece in particular.

Many thanks…the work which inspired this from Cynthia was so stunning it’s not surprising that the words which simply flowed onto the screen have worked well.
But your encouragement is heartwarming and greatly appreciated.

That’s how we know what is right!
when we meditate that feeling of complete peace fills us – there is no room for guilt so what ever gives us that horrible feeling of guilt is what we did wrong! .... well that’s how I explain it to the kids I deal with :O) Sometimes to clarify what something is you have to define what it isn’t!
Reflectively – this is perfect! :O)
    BRAVO! X♥X
