To break out of my usual genres and preferred subjects, as well as to challenge myself, I thought I’d have a play with light and shade, patterns and shapes, perspective and composition…with Post Office boxes.

as is, straight from the camera

Sony DSLR a330
shutter 1/10
aperture f/4.5
focal length 28mm
brightness 0.9
ISO 400

An avid photographer, both still and moving, since I was 10 years old, I later discovered and developed a particular love of macro, which is one of my main genres. More recently, however, my repertoire has broadened to include stained glass windows and particularly the stunning beauty of outback New South Wales and South Australia.
I hope you enjoy the beauty of the Creation, captured and presented here for you.

    Excellent…well spotted.

  • Hi Phil…thanks heaps. I’m flattered that you have heaped such high praise on me/my shot. It was fun fiddling around with angles and composition, focus, light and shade…I have a feeling I was getting a few quizzical looks from people collecting their mail, but I was absorbed and oblivious!! lol!…
