limpid: a. (Of liquid, atmosphere, eyes, literary style) pellucid, clear, not turbid; hence or cogn. ~LY _adv., ~ITY
Ok? The word popped into my head, but I was not really sure what it meant, so I looked it up in the dictionary. And now it seems sort of right, I don’t know if it is…?
I’m just a wet, soppy, liquid mess, limp and limpid, an adjective no less As I lie down on my moist damp bed rest my weather beaten head I sigh, I squelch, don’t know what else to do to be but me I am what you see
Was this another stomach shot you’ll be eating the grass soon
lol!!! No John…I would’ve got just a little too wet. Even I’m not that foolish ~ usually! With this I merely held the camera low and flipped up the screen so I could see what I was doing, get it in focus etc. A handy feature on my camera, particularly when I’m taking low ~ or high ~ macro shots.

You’ve obviously been busy John! I used the Concise Oxford, but I rather prefer the Collins definition…far greater clarity! Hopefully this word/title is even more apt now? Thank you for all your wonderful comments and research for this shot. I’m so pleased you like it…xxxx
Aaaahhhh …. limpid or not …… how wonderful to see wet green grass!!!! Gorgeous! ☼
Thanks very much…going by John’s research and feedback, I’m happy with the title now. But I agree with you about the joy of wet green grass!!! Although the storm, driving rain and high winds which brought it were far less comfortable or safe than the steady soaking variety!..xxxx
love green wet grass – grand shot of it, sweet Jan!!! :))))))))) HAPPY NEW YEAR to you, my friend! :))) xoxoxo
oh dear…:( I am so very sorry sweet Nat. I just noticed I hadn’t replied to your wonderful and very kind comment. Please accept my grovelling apologies. oh, and HAPPY NEW (sort of still) YEAR!!! to you. I hope 2009 is a wonderful year for you in every way my friend.
I’m thrilled that you like this nearly forgotten shot which I took after arriving home from a trip away. We were so delighted to find it had rained I simply jumped out of the car…think it had stopped…with my camera and shot everything wet in our garden with enthusiasm. I love green wet grass too, but here in Australia, particularly in the country areas, we get too little. Drought is a constant companion it seems at times. And the time this shot was taken was one of them…xxxx
Thank you my dear…it is/was a wonderfully vibrant green, which I simply couldn’t resist, although this photo actually languished on my computer, forgotten and ignored for ages. It was only the other day when I was looking for something different to upload that I stumbled across it and thought I’d give it a go! So thrilled also that you love the writing!…xxxx

OH thank you…again…I was totally overwhelmed when I noticed it and actually wrote to one of the mods expressing my thanks. And thank you for noticing!…xxxx
Congratulations on earning you a Feature in Green, and WoW! This is BEAUTIFUL!
I know, isn’t it incredible??? I never cease to be amazed when I find I or one of my works have/has been featured ,but almost never ‘announce’ it…cos it feels like bragging or boasting and fishing for compliments…I just can’t do it.
Only done it a few times when I was either innundated all at once and so totally gobsmacked and excited that I couldn’t contain my enthusiasm. I am so thrilled that you like this Dayonda….xxxx
