An avid photographer, both still and moving, since I was 10 years old, I later discovered and developed a particular love of macro, which is one of my main genres. More recently, however, my repertoire has broadened to include stained glass windows and particularly the stunning beauty of outback New South Wales and South Australia.
I hope you enjoy the beauty of the Creation, captured and presented here for you.

    Beautiful work Jan!

  • Thank you Bev…It’s a wonderful church door, isn’t it? It’s the door into St John’s actually, where our son got married and in who’s graveyard one of your husband’s ancestors is buried
I took it when we arrived for the wedding rehearsal.

I’m so pleased you like it.

  • Hi Catherine. Oh you are such a faithful watcher of my work and commentator upon it…or should that be comment maker?
Whatever the case, I thank you for all your comments, I thank you for this comment and your continued support.

    Great photo and words Jan.

  • Thank you Sharon. It’s beautiful old church…where our son got married in Canberra (this shot taken just before the wedding rehearsal!)…and as soon as saw the door half open like this, the words went through my mind. It was actually that which prompted me to take the photo.

Oh and thank you once again for including a framed pic with your comment, though I just found yesterday how to emulate a right click with a Mac…so must ask you how to do this!

  • Hi Nat..thank you so much.
You’re very sweet and I really value your comment (as always). Particularly the bit about the words. I wasn’t too sure if I should add them on not.

Wonderful shot Jan & the verse fits so well. Churches are such beautiful architecture.

  • Thank you Gail for your wonderful comment. There are certainly some beautiful churches in Australia which are an absolute joy to photograph. When I saw the door of the church open like this before we went in for our son’s wedding rehearsal, the verse flashed across my mind and prompted me to capture it.
