While wandering through a wintery Commonwealth Park in Canberra, memories of Spring and Floriade fresh in my mind, with their bright vivid rainbow colours, I began to reflect on the contrast of seasons.
For what I saw around me was in stark contrast to the images in my mind.
It was now Winter. The trees were bare, the colours muted.
Clouds barred the sun all but a brief burst of light.
Yet in the midst of such drabness, beauty was still to be found.
A bright jewel in the dry dark night of winter.
