Today I revisited something from the past, time travelling back to a photo I took in 2008, in preparation for a workshop I am presenting, and reflected on it. And cropped it.

For when I took this photo almost accidentally, I could never have imagined what would appear on my computer screen, what I had captured.

Within this one tiny drop of water, freshly fallen and suspended momentarily from a tea tree, was a world. The entire world in all nature’s pristine beauty.

It was as though I was seeing something of the divine, the creation.
Something of God.

And indeed I originally penned the following words, which came to me almost unbidden, rather like this image……….

One
so big
in
one
so small

the original, ‘Raindrop reflected’

An avid photographer, both still and moving, since I was 10 years old, I later discovered and developed a particular love of macro, which is now one of my main genres. More recently, however, my repertoire has broadened to include stained glass windows and particularly the stunning beauty of outback New South Wales and South, Australia.
I hope you enjoy the beauty of the Creation, captured and presented here for you.
