conte cross T-Shirt

conte cross

A pastel sketch of a rough hewn cross. Mine were the hands which held the crayons, but God the one who moved them.
We are all held in God’s hands always. We were the day Jesus stretched out his arms in love for us from the cross.
And so it is now.

This is more than Beautiful..it is so real..Great tee Jan and may God bless you and this Art..:)

  • Jan Stead JEMp... replied

Wow! Thank you so much… I was very nervous about putting this onto a tee, partly as it was my first attempt at one, but also I wasn’t sure if it would work or look any good.
So your comments mean so much to me.
I thank you that you allow God to use you in this way, through your words and comments of support.
    Blessings

Very nice design, Jan and bless you for ackowledging God in you God given talent.

  • Jan Stead JEMp... replied

Thank you. I’m so humbled by your kind words of affirmation and encouragement. One of my all time favourite verses is Ephesians 4:29; you live this and exhibit it beautifully.
As for your final words, that in a way is a no brainer, for it is only in and through God that I can do anything at all and as you so rightly said, my ‘talent’ (that’s a huge admission for me actually) is really God’s gifting.

    Bless you

Wow! You’re really going through my portfolio and checking out my shots, aren’t you? I’m very humbled, firstly that you would be interested enough to go to all that trouble and secondly, that you like such works as this.
It was one of my very initial forays back into the world of sketching and art, which I had abandoned many years earlier when our children came along.
This one was a revelation for me…it was as I was drawing it that I realised I hadn’t lost my ability to sketch at all…it was still there and I was merely bringing it out of hibernation!

How did I miss this, brilliant in every way gorgeous, even more so that you did it, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Jan Stead JEMp... replied

OH thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart!
I somehow treasure this and the photo of the sketch even more now, as a few weeks ago I gave the actual sketch to the mentor of our Education for Ministry group as a farewell gift from the group. I tore it out of the pastel sketch pad, went and bought a frame, put the sketch in and wrapped it.
When I looked at it the night before I told my husband when I saw it, for the first time in ages, I couldn’t give it away! I loved it too much (cos it wasn’t my hand alone that created it…and was my first sketch after hibernation). But the next morning I knew I had to give it away.

It hurt, but it was right…sacrifical giving or self sacrificing…not sure which or what.

But she had been a very important person in my life, particularly in the past year or so, and was one of my main encouragers, supporters and cheer squad of me and my photography.

Soooo…all that being said, Thank you a million times over for your words.

AW Jan this so beautiful…love the design of it all…Awsome tee :)God Bless you hun:) hugz

  • Jan Stead JEMp... replied

Thank you so much my friend. Its actually the only tee I’ve designed/made!! It was such a huge undertaking, being a very new Bubbler at the time as well as a total novice and newbie to this craft…that I haven’t put my toe back in the water again. But I must.
I’m so very pleased that you like this one as it is one of my favourites ~ I’d go so far as to say it is my no. 1 favourite! for many reasons.
I’ve also given the original of it away to a friend as a farewell present, which really was surprisingly sacrificial giving…very hard indeed, but I knew I had to do it.
This must come close to holding the record for the longest reply ever on RedBubble!!!lol..xxxx
