the guests all sigh
as she holds onto hope
that love so strong
a love still young
desperate decision time
does she stay
this embarrassed day
and wait for a love that won’t come
with Havisham shame

Thank you Sharon. It ws funny. I was inside and decided I was going to take my camera outside to capture these gorgeous blooms. It wasn’t until I was kneeling in front of the flowers that I even realised it had been raining. Mind you, I think it must have sneezed, rather than even sprinkled…lol!
And the words just ‘came’ when I wrote the title. And as ‘I’ wrote. God is good..xxxx

Thank you…funnily, it wasn’t until I uploaded it and typed in the title that the beginning of the narrative came to me. And once I started it sort of wrote itself, with a little influence from Charles Dickens!!..xxxx
