softly softly
softly softly
morning creeps
silently, subtly
through shrouded trees
silhouetted
and softened leaves…
gently wakes the sleeping world

It seems maybe I’m getting the hang of my new camera!
Very pleasing and reassuring to know, after grieving the loss of my not so old one …travel insurance claim.

Beautiful shot Jan…love the mist of the morning :)
Jan Stead JEMp..., 4 months ago
Hi! Thanks…I can’t believe how many comments I’ve had on this one.
I just pointed the camera and shot; oh and a little work on photoshop, but not much.
But I just feel so blessed to live with this as the view out our family room window!
This was early morning about two days ago.

this is magical. Dripping with dreams.
Jan Stead JEMp... in reply to Gary L. Suddath’s comment, 4 months ago
Thank you Gary. I try to be aware of composition when I take a shot, but it doesn’t always work. So I really value your observation and comment on this aspect.
Jan Stead JEMp... in reply to Lefever’s comment, 4 months ago
Dripping with dreams…what a wonderful phrase! Thank you. I love it and can absolutely see what you are saying. Helps me to see this shot in a whole new light and maybe answer the mystery (to me) of it’s appeal to others.
Jan Stead JEMp... in reply to aethyr’s comment, 4 months ago
thanks…that’s what I thought at the time, which prompted me to quickly grab my camera to capture this beautiful moment…Just glad it actually worked and translates/communicates.

great use of trees framing this shot as you did, exposure is perfect
Jan Stead JEMp... in reply to Christopher Ewing’s comment, 4 months ago
Thanks Christopher…the framing was actually a tiny bit of an accident, but I noticed the arch as I was about to shoot it.

Gorgeous light and mist,beautiful capture
Jan Stead JEMp... in reply to Trudi ~’s comment, 3 months ago
Thank you so much. I truly value all your comments and support. It was a combination of the light and mist which caught my eye and resulted in the camera being grabbed to catch it before it disappeared.
I’m a great fan of both fog/mist and soft early morning or twilight light, so its great when a shot pays off.
: )
So glad you like it
Jan Stead JEMp... in reply to C J Lewis’s comment, 3 months ago
Hi!
I just found I hadn’t replied to your comment on this now old shot of mine. And I want to say thank you for all your support and continued encouragement.
I think this particular shot caught me by surprise with the avalanche of comments it attracted…You were not the only ommitted commentator.
: )
Jan Stead JEMp... in reply to lettie1957’s comment, 3 months ago
I’ve jsut submitted this shot to a few other groups and in the process reviewed the many comments I received on it. And I noticed I hadn’t replied to your lovely and encouraging affirmation.
Many thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.

Jan Stead JEMp... in reply to Mechellerene’s comment, 3 months ago
Hi
although this is now ancient history, I realised I didn’t reply directly to you, although you were the very first to comment on my shot. I recall your words simply blew me away. Until I read them I had no idea how this would be received or if it was any good.
My inner critic was very loud and busy then….silenced him (couldn’t be female!!!) a bit now.
So very many extremely belated thanks.

Jan Stead JEMp... in reply to Debbie King’s comment, 3 months ago
Hi Debbie,
This is an extremely belated reply to thank you for your effusive comments on this little shot of mine. At the time I was unexpectedly innundated with comments to the extent that I was flat out replying to them all.
And I suspect reeling in overwhelmed surprise at the comments themselves.
Thank you so much. You played a significant role in growing my confidence with your marvellous affirmation.
: )
Jan Stead JEMp... in reply to Globalphotos’s comment, 3 months ago
This must be one of the latest and slowest replies you have ever received for a comment you left on someone’s photo.
My apologies.
As I have just been saying to a number of others I missed in the avalanche which overwhelmed me at the time, I had trouble keeping up with the replies, and subsequently missed a few.
I was humbled and amazed by your kind words and find I still am on revisiting them.
Thank you.

oh thank you Annette. I’m sooooo pleased you like it!
hehe…sorry. I couldn’t resist.
I’m amazed that lovely people like yourself are stumbling across this shot somewhere or other (as I uploaded it a while ago now) and, even more, are commenting on it!
This is very humbling indeed. I can’t tell you how much it means to me.
Very many thanks.
