Latest Pinhole Shot

Taken at the same place as this but with a few adjustments. There are an extra two holes in the camera (and it is looking a little beaten up now) for better film coverage, and I have managed to smooth the holes more so that the edges are not so keyhole like….
However, it seems to have sprung a light leak, so will have to investigate what is going on there.

oooo fun! how many degrees does this cover?
jemimalovesbigted replied
well not including the sticky tape end bits probably about 320 – 340 degrees.

The element of surprise is the best bit about this … :)

yeah its such a buzz developing the film and holding your breath waiting for the results. I did a little jig of delight when I took the negs out of the water!! =D
Soxy Fleming
so where did you hide? hehe you must be thin!
jemimalovesbigted replied
haha I open them one at a time so I can stay out of the shot

you must be stoked dude. they look great…

Hey Dan, thanks man. Yeah its pretty close to as perfect as I am going to get it. Hope it all holds up well tomorrow. I have five models and a day of shooting with it. Wish me luck =D
Soxy Fleming
wow…how long do the models have to stay put? and I guess if you open each pinhole at different times you could have 30 little elves?
jemimalovesbigted replied
well from the tests that I have done only around 10 seconds (depending on the light of course) but I am wanting to do some movement/ghosting shots too, so it should be all good (says whilst crossing all fingers and toes). I think the biggest stress is going to be whether or not the weather holds out!

consider luck wished… can’t wait to see the result.
Soxy Fleming
sounds fun. What film speed? I did five long paper exposures yesterday, between 15 and 45 mins…can’t develop them until maybe tomorrow. I tried things like dark indoors with candles.
Hope the weather holds for you! I should have organised to come and help! I look forward to seeing your results : )

I have been testing on various types of 100 iso and tomorrow I will be using a slide film 100 iso. I haven’t actually tested on slide film yet, but it should be all good. How did you figure out what was the right time for your paper shots?
It would have been awesome if you could come along, you can still come if you want to. How are you with makeup? I have even been sewing madly on costumes, which is slightly hilarious and scary due to my lack of sewing skills, but I don’t think the pinhole will pick up on that – hopefully.
Soxy Fleming
Wild guesses for my exposures! I will be interested to see how the candle stuff goes as I might get a couple of really burnt out spots where the flames were. Will bmail re makeup and sewing!
