just gorgeous..wish i was there :) ...could be worms of pmping for yabbies…it’s hard to tell.. i think they use a hessian bag with rotten meat drawn across the sand to entice the worms and they use a metal pump to uproot the yabbies from their hidey holes :)
thanks Juilee, I have had a lot of fun doing it…. there are still a few more to come yet. I hope by the end of it, everyone gets a real sense of what Altona is like and how it gives me that days gone by feeling living here…
ahh well if you really want to know how I got the colours, head to the forums of the cross processing group and all will be revealed. Glad you like it =)
i had to look twice to make sure it was not me in this shot! LOL love the low tide at this beach! hey do you remember the red fluorescent algae that was present here a few years back. the water turned bright red. i did take some shots of it. it was truly incredible and at night it was fluorescent. really am enjoying this whole series jemima!
haha, thanks aglaia… so what would they be looking for?
I unfortunately missed the red algae, I have only been a recent addition to the lovely Altona. would love to see more of your shots of the place though.
Nice colours-and the framing looks as though I am seeing the beach through a window. The beach is wonderful when the tide is out with all those shallow wading pools.

I like your effect it has a real nostalgic feel to it. Like the distant boat too :)

thanks Chanel2, if it weren’t for the clothes and the boat, it could almost be from another time… glad you like =)
