I create my art in Brisbane, Australia.
I like to find inspiration for my art in old photographs, classic portraiture and popular culture. I especially like turning complex pieces into simpler illustrations.
I love to experiment with different mediums and explore their amazing capabilities. I dabble with acrylics, oil paints, inks, pen, coloured pencils, watercolours, gouache, coffee, tea, watercolour pencils, graphite, pastel and collage. From time to time I’ve even played with ceramics and printmaking.

My painting experience until recently has been limited to acrylic paints. I’m slowly introducing myself to oils by painting over a base of acrylics. My latest project I based on a treasured old photo of my Dad and my nephew in our backyard. I thought I’d share the progression of my painting so far;
