“The old woman I shall become will be quite different from the woman I am now. Another I is beginning…” [Rev Teri Johnson]
Excellent.And most likely true. :-)
Also looks like my wonderful Jazz that I miss so very much.Thank you
Thank you LoveMy7Cs. How long did you have Jazz? I had a black Lab, Joy, who was a joy in my life. She was originally my son’s who grew up and away, and she became my dearest friend (if you know what I mean). One of the most loving pets we have ever had. When she passed a part of me died too, my heart ached. My dtr knew how much Joy meant to me, she, my hsb & son went to the pound and found this lab puppy and surprised me with him. Whoever had him b./f did not treat him well b/c he was very shy & withdrawn. He is not my soft loving Joy, but he has b/c is my rambuncious (sp), sloppy, careless, slobbering, loving Marley who has my heart….sorry I’m rambling.
lol, so true
Thank you Rebekah. I know, sometimes those eyes have you fooled. They look at you and you spill your guts, and then they grab the treat from your hand, or pocket-ha!
FUN! + great photo of Marley too!
Thank you Arlene! I couldn’t resist this quote, it reminded me so much of Marley’s behavior.
lol don’t succumb
he fools me every time….stares at me with those eyes, listening….
haha yeah it’s definately the food :D
Thank you Louise…the way to a dog’s heart is definitely through his treats!
Cool picture… I feel the same way about our dog Summer
Hey Brad!!!! So nice to see you back on redbubble!! Thank you very much for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it. Yes you are right, when I see Summer I have to give her a treat…it’s the way she always greets me with her smile/aka “give me a treat”-ha.
Just realized the response I typed didn’t post… :-( We had Jasmine for 10 wonderful years …OK 9…I first diaper eating year wasn’t so good…
She was amazing. Very protective of her family. She was very aggressive toward other dogs. She went after the dobie/dane mix 2 times that I can remember. Also scared off the German Shepard that was chasing my son on his bike. She had a smaller frame (actually were are only guessing she was lab..Her mother was a full golden retriever that got out…when the lady who found her contacted the owners and told them she was pregnant they told her to keep her!! I wanted the mom at first -no puppies please-she had such a sweet disposition. Jazz inherited it. She was something very special. Miss her so very much.
Thank you for your reply! I honestly think Joy sensed my ups & downs. When I was not feeling so great, she would come and lay her head on my lap and look at me with kind eyes w/o expecting any treats. Marley looks at me, sniffs my pockets, hands etc. and then nudges me for a treat-ha, (I always carry treats in my pockets).
You’re such a good people to your ‘owner’. :-)
I believe my pets do me more good…they keep my heart warm and my hands busy :)
They are a great source of love. We do have a couple of cats too. (Love one more then the other..but we won’t tell)But being a dog person myself….sigh….
Cute card, but I think they know how we feel…..Kay
Thank you cduak. I think you are right, they can sense when we are not up to snuff, as well as want whats on our plate :).
