I Have Survivied...

Thank you 6point1. The article was several pages long on those who have discovered a strength within themselves through very difficult times. I read it back in 2002, and found where I had underlined and “stared” favorite, inspirational sentences & paragraphs…this was one of many. It didn’t seem to take long b/c I got caught up in what I was rereading…thank you so much for your kindness and time.

I was told I could be “dead in a year” in Nov 1996! Have had a brain tumour removed in 1996 and another zapped with 6 weeks of radiotherapy in 2004… has been interesting given it is the short term memory and word selection part of the brain that has been zapped/partially removed!!!

This is a very appropriate statement for many of us and our associated families and friends.

PS… I have added this to my “buy list” as a card and once I accumulate a significant number of works, I will receive a copy. I have a guy who my Neurologist suggested I talk to who went through the same experience as me and is now a good friend… I will send this to him in due course.

Craig, thank you so much for your very encouraging and kind words. I have not been close experiencing what you and your family have, but I know it must take a lot of courage. I have gone through personal turmoil that has helped me redirect my way of living. There is another quote titled “courage” I rewrote and loaded into my RB when i first joined that I have sitting at my desk at home that means a lot to me. I also work in a dialysis facility that is another daily of how every moment counts.
You are a miracle, I appreciate your encouraging words, thank you again.
