Artist's Description

Second Saturday Art Walk in Sacramento is a monthly event in the community when the art galleries stay open late, crowds flock to the streets to watch each other, and musicians perform in the alleys. The driver here is navigating the packed streets and has a protective hand on his wife’s shoulder. He is very upset, but you can tell from the reaction of his wife and daughter that this is not unusual. On the dashboard, there’s a Buddha image, a symbol of peace contrasting with the tension in his face. Though his car is small, there is a cavernous interior, as his wife and child sit at such a far distance from him…
Got an Honorable Mention at the Midtown Business Assocation Art Competition, 12/9/10.

Original painting is acrylic on canvas, 40" height x 30" width.
