An Anole Lizard Mom, and prossibly two of her young. They were very close to the waters edge, and in crackes between the rocks. Females lay one egg each week during the seasons, 2 a year. They have the ability to turn bright green. Gourley Garden, Anole Habitat in the Smoky Mountains…after I got into watergardening, I started seeing these bright green lizards. Anolis Carolinensis are hardly seen above TN. Usually on the southeast USA and tropics. They don’t hybernate, the snow will be melting in the higher elevations, and they come out for some sun. like when the mountain looks like it does in the Snow Covered Thunderhead Mountain
