Anole Lizard Drinking-Winter Day by

(Thirsty) Licking up water on the rocks, is how these Anolis Carolinensis Lizards like to drink. Also lick leaves to drink, rather than from a very large pool of water. The Anole are as I walk to my truck in the driveway. I had to declare this property an Anole Habitat because Anole Lizards are thriving here. Perhaps there is a shortage of these in Florida, due to introduced varieties of lizards. TN is about as far as these are maped to the north USA. Gourley Garden, Anole Habitat, Smoky Mountains of TN, ajoins the Foothills Parkway of the National Park in the Great Smoky Mountains. I took a few shots on my Ford Truck for an add when I caught them near the emblem, and on the tires. Have lots of fun looking for them in the garden to photo. The lizards do not hybernate, this is a cold day, when they come out to warm on a winter day. Canon Sure Shot S31S
