Branded Anole by JeffeeArt4u

Currently unavailable for purchase

Just seems to be enjoying the sun and enjoying the view. Looks like he has had his fill of insects. Anole laying on the bottom of a fence, perhaps bitten from something other than another lizard. Scars from other lizards are usually on the head. I enjoy seeing the Anole anytime they are out of their hiding places, basking in the sun. Domestic cats, praying mantis, snakes or large birds eat lizards. Lizards defend their territory during mating season, and males can support a herum of 5 females or more…have seen a human like response or same reaction from females as males against other lizards at breeding season. Love your lizard shots!

  • Thank you, I always enjoy them. Sorta like pets, they are laying around everywhere. Just living in the wild though. I watered a plant on the porch and several came and got a drink. They are all over my house and in the garden. Some have their territory on our deck, and there was a huddle of 6 or 8 in different sizes….it was cold, but the sun was out.
