Barley is our wonderful Golden Retriever and I wanted to make a piece that was more illustrative yet still captured his awesome personality. I used my photo of him (taken with a panasonic Lumix point and shoot) as a basis and then applied a number of filters in Photoshop CS4 to get a more “drawn” look. Then I painted on layers in Photoshop CS4 to create a more pop art or screen print look.
