The main background is the plaster texture inverted. The splatter texture is overlayed on the viewers right. The 02 FAC texture was uploaded into the texturizer and applied to the face with the effect erased from the eyes and cheeks so it is most evident on the lips, nose and forehead. The 01 FAC texture was darken-layered around the edges of the image after I colored it magenta using the hue/saturation slider. The remaining elements are parts of my photos taken with a Panasonic DMC FZ30 camera, model is my wife Candace who is my greatest inspiration. All the elements were combined in Photoshop Elements 6. Jeff I LOVE this! Fascinating textures and treatments! I never would have thought to invert it. Wonderful explanation and details! You’re much more patient than I am by writing all of that out. Technically the image is superb! I like the figure in the background, and your wife’s expression. Very nicely done:)
Thanks for the kind words Pamela! I had fun with it which is all I can hope for with challenges.

love the white twiggy bit. great eyes and effects
Thanks, that part is a photo I took of a tree sculpture in NYC that I turned on it’s side. I think the sculpture is aluminum. I wasn’t sure if it was too much so I’m glad someone liked the “twiggy bit.”

I also love the “twiggy bit.” And I may even know the sculptor who made it. (Although there could easily be more than one tree sculpture in NYC!) Wonderful artwork all around!
Thanks Colleen! The “trees” were in a park in front of the Flatiron Building. I loved them and have far too many shots so I’m glad I could use one and that folks like it.
