Farewell to Mr. Pink

I am not alone, traveling this life;
but I never got to say goodbye.
When you drove away with a, “So long my friend!”,
I had no idea that was the end.
Now your gone; pure energy.
Sometimes transcended into my dreams.
to say hello, and and not to cry.
That he’s doing fine and has learned to fly.

It’s not the same without you here,
I know time’s supposed to heal.
and so now I speak to other ears,
and your glad to know I shed no tears.

I came to see you the other day
just to talk and share a jay.
I saw your spirit the other day,
you just smiled at me and flew away.
It’s as if you came to say; "remember me
the way things used to be.
Death was no more than a change for me,
and my soul is vibrant, flowing, and free.
