In the sport of Surf Lifesaving, in the flag event, the competitors fly throught the air to get to the flag, it is very excitng and the word “bellywhacker” comes to mind….lol Full entry at actionpactpix blog
This was shot at Lakes Entrance in Gippsland on 8th January 2012
Shot on a Canon 7d 1/400th sec at f13. 70mm lens Shot in RAW
Processed in LR and played with the colors in the image as the club has a blue uniform and I wanted the blue to be the standout color in the image.

Thanks, I tried hard with this one to get a good tonal range, there wasn’t much white around. So it was grey and grey, but I tried to get more black without losing details…tweak,,tweak…tweak..etc (repeat)

Looks like a lot of fun. The girl at the back doesn’t look like she’s trying too hard, though. But… having said that… she’d probably still beat me.
