In the Forest by Judith Cahill

Currently unavailable for purchase

Available to buy on…

This is a picture I took for TAFE and I have been playing with photoshop today to get some ideas, The forest is from Deviant Art stock Phatpuppy, just using it for the playing around with an image thing.

I just want to know what I could do to make this image more interesting. I have basically merged two images together and have been playing around non-stop.

Just CONSTRUCTIVE advice please as I am on a learning curve with PS as we all are and I have been thinking she looks too bright or needs something else in the pic etc etc…..

The pic of Bri was taken on a Nikon D80

Hi Judith, not having the image to play with, I would probably give the burn tool a go to try and place the model more into the scene creating shadows and depth with the direction of light. Then lighten up some areas with the Dodge tool like the face where she looks to have a days growth but that just me..Hope this makes sense.

  • Thanks, I think I needed to do some work on the model, before putting her in the scene, I took the pic of the model and have just deleted the background. I have really just discovered the burn tool so that has been fun and the days growth is my fault I highlighted her cheeks too much….Might just start again with some new knowledge………Yep thats what I will do and repost……sounds like a plan!

I’m pretty new to PS but maybe a few wild flowers could add a little more to it:)

  • Good idea!…..I am not sure how I am going to do it yet, thinking of going a completely different way…..
