My father in law Bill playing chess on our holiday in Adelaide this year. Bill was concentrating a lot as he was tryng to beat his son!………a very competitive family.
Taken on Canon EOS 7d f5 1/60th ISO400 31mm lens (on my zoom)
Great shot of a guy doing something that he loves and being himself. Love the b/w and the action too.
I am not sure he was loving chess that day though as he got beaten in three moves by Shane which was hilarious….and hence the more serious face!……lol….it was pretty funny!
Thank you…..as usual it was a color shot, which I cropped and then converted to black and white and added (not too well) a blur for dof……but Bill is a great subject
Definitely my short of portrait. I like the expression (means everything, don’t you think) and the slightly blurred hand on the move, and of course the B+W.
Thank you, sorry for the late answer, I am looking at my gallery and I know I have to clean out some pis and put some good pics in!
