We are pleased to announce Spring wild horse photography workshops in Antelope and Butte Valley Nevada Please go to www.nationshorseworld.com for details

EXPERIENCE THE WILDERNESS OF NEVADA’S HIGH DESERT COUNTRY OF THE GREAT BASIN AND LEARN ABOUT~~ THE LIVING LEGENDS OF THE WEST, where you will get the opportunity to view them up close or see them galloping through the desert, kicking up the dust.

It will be a full day of excitement and fun photographing the wild horses and you will be learning about the different social dynamics within the herd. They are so amazing to watch!

You may capture a glimpse of a wild horse band galloping across the wide open desert landscape or gathering at the watering hole, or see a newborn foal trying to stand on his long wobbly legs to nurse, or maybe even a stallion fight. In the wild horse herd each stallion has his own band of mares and will fiercely defend an unwelcome suitor trying to take his mares away. Young bachelor stallions are kicked out of the herd at around two years of age and must go out and acquire their own herd of mares, so the older stallions are always on alert for danger to his herd from any young stallion who thinks he might be tough enough to challenge him to gain control of his herd.

The sites you will see are breathtaking with endless opportunities for some great photographs .

You won’t be disappointed, we have people who come back year after year, because we provide in field workshops that far exceed their expectations.

We are sure that you will enjoy attending a workshop with us. Please go to my website for more details www.nationshorseworld.com and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact us. Jeanne@nationshorseworld.com

Come and join us on an adventure of a lifetime.Your spirit will be renewed just being around these beautiful animals in there natural environment.

You will also get an education of the danger that the wild horses are currently facing due to large gatherings of wild horses from public lands by the BLM. These are critical times for wild horses they may be gone from the landscape forever if we do not speak up and let our congressmen know that we want them to remain free on the public lands dedicated for them by congress in the wild horse and burro act of 1971.

Hi Jeanne….my goodness….I just noticed this now!!!! I will be at Return to Freedom in California and in Wyoming for all the June dates. I have a free flight that I have to use by September so I will try to get there for the juloy dates!!! Furst…meeting you will be absoloutely awesome…..but photographing with you….even more of a pleasure!!!!!!

  • Hi Sue, I sure hope you can make it in July or anytime, it would be so great to photograph the wild horses with you, your work is so outstanding . I would love to have you come to a workshop. In July is when the Triple B roundup will be going on here in Northeastern Nevada in the Great Basin country as you probably already know they are gathering 1,776 horses, I am trying to save one small herd outside of the HMA of 9 horses. I am starting a petition, you might have seen a photo of the horses on RB, it is astounding to me that the BLM thinks any part of this roundup is necessary, Anyway that is where we will be photographing and also the Antelope Valley during the months of June and July, the areas are only about ten miles from my ranch. I am so looking forward to meeting you, we have a lot in common. My grandparents were from Canada on my Moms side. It sounds like you have an exciting summer planned. Let me know the dates you can come, the roundup is suppose to start July 1st. It would be great if you could see and photograph the wild horses in June before their freedom is taken away in the Triple B complex, it is such a beautiful place! Hope to see you soon, Jeanne
This is a rewrite I was in a hurry this morning and put it in the wrong box so I didn’t know if you got it or not sorry!

Hi Jeanne….sent you an email! I so wish I could be there in June but my calendar is so jam packed that month. If the current campaigns work, maybe the roundups for Nevada will be stopped or at least delayed. It honestly just breaks my heart what the BLM is doing and, yes, it is astounding that the BLM thinks this necessary. I will join your petition for sure.

In Canada we don’t have a BLM or roundups but we still have slaughterhouses. We are working hard on getting the slaughter of horses banned but it is a slow and long process…..but getting there one slaughter house at a time. We do have some protection agencies helping the wild horses in British Columbia but in Alberta, and this is a real tragedy, there are hunters out shooting the wild horses. The police and RCMP are trying to help but it is difficult to catch these people in the act.

I am so looking forward to meeting you too!!!! That is interesting that your grandparents are from Canada!!! We do have a lot in common and looking forward to spending time with you!!!
